100 degrees

This week we've had record heat and gotten lots of use
out of our pool pass. I've surprised and thankful
how much the children have improved just by being
at the pool more. Not to mention the good memories in the making.

Machen now has free reign of all the pools - he loves it all.
Charlie has made HUGE strides - jumps in, going under water and actual swimming!
Don't worry, she's not drowning just practicing holding her breath

Demaree has also improved tremendously and keeps her brother on his toes.
Amelie is insane - she loves the water and has no fear.

Fourth of July

Our first day headed back home, we managed a stop in
Kansas City to see the other side of the family...
and to FINALLY meet Miss Avery

Brian was Mr. Popular with fireworks

Water Balloons

My Dad picked up water balloons for the kids and
was eager to educate them in the art of war.

He under-estimated his enemy and retreated for better equipment

Wine Tasting

Uncle Sam and Aunt Barbara came to visit for a day
and we didn't waste anytime... Lily Lake before the rain:

We headed up to Bear Lake early the next day

Wow, did we hit some snow!

It was WINDY! Huddle for cover!

She fell asleep on the "ride" down.
Emerald Lake - mostly iced over
