Snow!

Our first "real" snow found John in California and the rest of the crew off to find the perfect sledding hill.  We had a lovely, exhausting afternoon with fresh snow, sun and clear skies.
Does it get any better?

After sledding down the "main hills" for a bit, we left to scout out our own, private hill.
We hit the jackpot.  No other people and STRAIGHT down. These kids we're catching air!
Amelie was a flying bullet!  The only down side: the hike back up.

The Party

We had a small party for Amelie with these sweet girls.

Lots of craftiness occurred which is why there are few pictures.
The cupcake decorating was a huge hit.

Amelie's 7th Birthday

Amelie's 7th Birthday came despite my asking her to stay six.

Gifts from siblings began the day.

Breakfast with Dad

She made and decorated her cake.

Trouble. But so cute.

The celebration crew:

"Mom, now that I'm seven will I still fit on your lap?"

So thankful for this sugar and spice in our lives!

Grandma's Visit

We had a lovely visit from Grandma Kay the week of Amelie's birthday.
