On the way home we stopped in Kansas City and had a blast seeing my cousins.
Aunt Carolyn and Uncle Jerry had water guns, a slip and slide, and fireworks waiting.
Nobody wanted to leave.

Our last stop before heading home was seeing Grandma Kay, Uncle Sam and Aunt Barbara

Wild Basin

Our last day we hit one of our favorite trails
and did a slightly different hike.
 

 

 

 

After this (long and hot) hike, we dipped our feet in the very cold water.

 

The Cabin

Besides hiking, playing in the creek and croquet,
a few of the things we do:


Lots of carving.  All the time.

 

Helping the black ants, killing the red.

 

Learning to saw.
