We began our trip west by visiting Grandma Kay in Highland.

She took us out for a lovely lunch

Their chocolate cake was a hit

We stopped by to see where John's Dad was buried

Father's Day 2011

Charlie's 6th Birthday

Charlie's birthday feel during a practicum I was teaching at, so we planned

the party for the next day and then he got sick. :( So we finally did

the party yesterday but I failed to take pictures.

However, the morning of his birthday was delightful

We opened presents after his favorite meal (pizza)

and he was a very happy boy...

Surprise

For my parent's 34th anniversary, my three siblings and I

surprised them by showing up on their porch. They were

shocked! We then spent the next 5 days at our

family cabin up near Rocky Mountain National Park.

Evenings of cooking and games, hiking, planting trees,

making a croquet court, and lots of laughing.

Wonderful memories of being the 6 Demarees again...
