6

The day began with a new bike!

Daddy took her to breakfast at Dunkin Donuts.

"Now We Are Six"

When I was one, I had just begun.
When I was two, I was nearly new.
When I was three, I was hardly me.
When I was four, I was not much more.
When I was five, I was just alive.
But now I am six, I'm as clever as clever.
So I think I'll be six now and forever.

Grandma Kay

We had a lovely visit from Grandma Kay that flew by...

She was a good sport about playing a lot of games - especially Hello Kitty Bingo (aka, true love)
and countless games of Rummy with the boys.

February

February is looking a lot like...January.

This last batch of snow, we measured:
9 inches!

And we shoveled

While all my children love the snow and play in it for a while, this boy will literally play for HOURS.  The first afternoon, it was almost FOUR hours.  Today he was out for three hours.
Forts, snowballs, ice, friends and he is set for a long time...

Our Latest Addition

Sophia has been with us for almost a month and I realized a couple weeks ago our idea of a dog is Sophia.  Now everyone in our family doesn't want a dog; they want Sophia.

Jonathan and Katy Ann came by today with a letter for the kids relating how they got Sophia and what she's meant to them.  And why they chose to give her to us.

It was a treat to watch the kid's faces light up as they realized what this meant and to hear them continually say this evening "can you believe she's OUR dog now?"

I'm grateful for friends to give our children a joy I couldn't.
