Our last day of school we tried ice skating.
Surprisingly, Amelie caught on quickly
and loved going around with the cone.
 

Charlie also loved it but was considerably less
careful.  After numerous spills and one significant fall,
he spent a rather unpleasant afternoon in the ER.
He did have a concussion but thankfully the cat scan
came back clear. 

He is loving the attention and glory
of the black eye badge.

Too cool for school?  Maybe.
But not for Christmas hats AT school.
He LOVES that.

 

We put the kids to bed tonight and five minutes
later TOTALLY surprised them with a jammie
run to look at Christmas lights.
"Candy Cane Lane" did not disappoint.

Sunday in the life of a 5 year old

Started like a normal Sunday
 

During church, THIS happened and it took
twice as long to get home.
Everyone promptly put on their snow gear
once we made it home.
